iPad 3.. what I think will arrive
So after i got my Iphone 4s guess right, in far to many ways it is sad to say. I am going to give you some thoughts on the eventual iPad 3. Although I dont think we will see it until the 2nd quater as the iPad 2 is still selling well and is not even a year old. Only indication is the large amount of “refurb” stock Apple is selling. This has always seemed more like a method Apple uses to sell products a little bit cheaper and clear its warehouse without the need to reduce its RRP.
Most obvious aspect is the addition of a higher resolution screen, probably a doubling in resolution as they did with the iPhone 4. Its an area where the iPad is getting a little weak compared to the competition as was the case with the 3Gs then Apple stepped in with a screen with a resolution that blew everything else away.
The A6 processor will debut in the new iPad this will allow greater performance and allow the system to meet demands of the higher resolution screen. I suspect this processor can then be refined for use in the next iphone later in the year.
I have a feeling that Apple will try and reduce the weight of the iPad 3 possibly with a carbon fibre shell combined with the liquid metal they seem interested,
The camera on the iPad 2 is weak and may receive a slight improvement to allow 1080p recording.
3G versions, as with the iPhone 4s Apple will most likely produce a single model that serves both the different American networks (CDMA and GSM)
